Market Need Everyone is becoming more dependent on the internet every day. We need a reliable device to help people stay safely connected.
The goal is to connect,protect,recharge your digital life.
Key Features/ Functionality This device is multi-role, so it fills more than one need. At it’s simplest, it functions as a personal device connectivity management system, allowing you to control how your personal devices connect to the internet, while firewalling and ad-stripping.

Ecosystem, etc. For most of this product’s lifecycle, it is going to function as an internet connectivity management device.
Target User Anyone who wants better control over how they use the internet. Anyone who wants ‘instant network, open box.’
Anyone who wants better control over their mobile data usage and protection against overage charges.
(if different from user) First adopters will be technophiles and ‘road warriors’. After that, people who want to control their internet use, people who want a mesh network, FEMA, various government agencies. I hope that the pmesh will become as ubiquitous as the cell phone, over time.

Critical BOM Components A raspberry pi, the battery management board, a USB wifi board, and a crypto module.
Communication Requirements Device communicates in 3 ways. Internal (devices slaved to it) sideband (other units in range) and External (Any upstream path to the Net). All 3 types will be 802.11G
Power Requirements 2.5amp 5v micro USB charger, if device is off, can use a weaker charger(will take longer) with a 2.5a charger, device can operate, and be charging at the same time.
